Critical Mass occurs on the last Friday of every month.

This month, that will be Friday, September 26th.

Eugene McGee and the Googlebomb

(from penguin.invisiblegovernment.net)

(apparently) it’s entirely legal to kill people, as long as you do it on the road.

But particularly if you’re Eugene McGee.

You can run people over and kill them, if you’re him. And get away with it. You can even admit you did it, and still get away with it.

Sorry, what was that name?

Oh, just EUGENE MCGEE.

Eugene McGee?

Yep, Eugene McGee. That’s the one.

See, he didn’t “cause death by dangerous driving”.. overtaking people without looking at what’s in front of them isn’t dangerous at all. No, not at all. Particularly if you’ve had a few drinks beforehand. I mean that’s a valid legal defence, isn’t it? Apparently it is for Eugene McGee.

Anyway, as you may have guessed by the above, I humbly submit that we start a good old Googlebombin’. Because there’s no page around about him at the moment, it should be easy… interesting however that he wrote a piece for the SA Police Journal about speeding, and exercising care on the roads in the course of executing police duties in 2000..

But back to the bombin’:

What about the fact that Eugene McGee is still a *cough cough* practising defence lawyer who barely shows up for the poor clients he is supposed to represent? Or doesn’t let his clients know until AFTER their case comes to court that THEY are supposed to actually be there? His clients are then arrested and taken into custody. If Today Tonight in Adelaide wants a juicy story, why don’t they investigate a day in the life of Eugene McGee? Honestly, defence lawyers in South Australia make me want to vomit.

Eugene McGee killed someone and should go to jail no matter what. No one should get off that easy for killing someone.
It may have been an accident but that means nothing when you leave them on the side of the road to die. I am outraged by how easy Eugene McGee got let off the first time. :(
